Using the check-in app is the fastest way to get your attendees in to your event while also allowing you to validate each ticket as they enter. You can download the app by clicking either of the following links based on your operating system.
To log in to the check-in app you can use a check-in account that you set up inside the Evey app on Shopify. If you need more information on how to create and add check-in accounts to use with our app you can checkout this guide here. If you ever forget your password you can quickly reset it by clicking on the forgot password button in the app and we'll send an email with a link allowing you set up a new password.
Once you're logged in you'll be taken to the main events screen, here you'll see all the events that are set up in the Evey app. If you quickly want to check for a list of attendees or search for one for your attendees you can tap on an event which will take you to the attendee list where you can also search by their name. The green check marks by their names lets you know quickly that the attendee has already been checked-in for your event.
The main function of the app however is scanning tickets which can done quickly by tapping on the "Scan" button along the bottom of the app. Once you're on the scan screen it's pretty straightforward, you can point the camera towards the QR code of the ticket you are scanning and it will take you to a check-in screen for that ticket. You can review their information here to verify it's a valid ticket and then when you're ready click on the green "Check-in" button to mark that ticket as scanned. If a ticket has already beed scanned and the attendee marked as checked-in you'll see a red check-in button to let you know that this ticket was scanned and some more information on when and by which check-in account. When you're ready to scan the next ticket just click the scan button again and you'll be ready to scan the next QR code. You can also flip the camera and use the front facing camera for check-in as well!
The last button along the bottom takes you to "Settings". The settings here are pretty straightforward as well, giving you an option to sign out and clear all locally stored data for the app and also the option to change your password for your check-in account as well. You'll also see a link to how to connect a scanner to your device to use with the check-in app if you don't want to use the built in camera.
The next option is a new feature which lets the app automatically check-in attendees when a ticket is scanned. This means you won't need to leave the scan screen after each ticket is scanned, instead it will automatically mark the attendee as checked-in and give you a green banner along the top of the app letting you know that ticket was an unused and valid ticket for your event. If a ticket has been used already you'll get a red banner when the ticket is scanned.
I hope that helps you get the most of the app and if you ever have any questions or need help with the app please reach out to us and let us know. Happy scanning!
